Library
Made possible through the generosity of Kay and Adrian French, the library and media center opened in 2001. The library is a center for study, research, and reading. Containing approximately 3,000 volumes, the library has an online catalog and participates in the interlibrary loan program with other Connecticut public libraries.
With four network connections and four PC workstations in the adjacent media center, students have access to Academic Search Premier, an online database which contains indexing and abstracts for over 8,500 scholarly journals in all academic disciplines, with full text for more than 4,650 of those titles.
The library is open to students throughout the academic day and during evening study hall with permission from a student's classroom teacher or the study hall proctor. The school librarian is available during the school week to assist students and faculty members with browsing and research.
Students may check out books for two weeks. Library materials may be recalled before the due date if a faculty member should require them for teaching purposes. Reference books and periodicals may not be checked out. Students wishing to check out reference books and periodicals may do so with the permission of the librarian.
