“When I started at Woodhall, I was like a locomotive with no direction, full of energy fueled by anger.”

I was hurting, and I wanted to make sure everyone else knew that, and shared it with me in a negative manner.

The faculty and staff at The Woodhall School saw potential in me that I did not recognize in myself. The Communications program helped me learn how to express myself honestly and appropriately.

At the end of my third (Senior) year, I looked back at my accomplishments and felt very proud. I could hardly believe the diploma I held in my hands at graduation was mine, and that I was going to college. At many points through my journey it seemed unattainable, but I made it.

“The only opportunity I never got at Woodhall was the opportunity to give up, and that has made all the difference.”

Along with my learning disabilities, I was socially a mess. When I found Woodhall, all of that changed for me. I found myself in a friendly environment where I had no choice but to interact with other people, and learn how to make friends. The structured environment and individualized academic program helped me to focus on developing good study habits.

Thanks to Woodhall, I am now happy with my life and where I am going.
